E-Visitor - new from late October 2008
From 27 October eligible passport holders from the EU and other European ETA eligible countries will be able to apply for an eVisitor. An eVisitor is a "label free" authority to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes for up to three months. From the date of introduction of eVisitor, the internet ETA will no longer be available for European ETA eligible nationals, but it will still be available from travel agents and airlines. For other ETA eligible passport holders not eligible for eVisitor, access to applying for an Internet ETA will not change, and ETAs will still be available from travel agents and airlines.

All eVisitor applications must be made online through the website of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship at www.immi.gov.au.
